Whispers To Your Spirit

Is this you?:

Does this or some portion of it, sound familiar?

Routine is a part of life.  It keeps life in order, even in the midst of chaos.  Some
people want the familiarity of routine, some find it boring and predictable, while
others get sick and tired of it.  The truth is that routine is created by us in
whatever circumstances we are living.  However, circumstances that bring the
security of routine, as well as routine itself, is short-lived.  In the end, it’s about
defining true security and identifying its source.  It’s simple—the source is Him.

During our life-long journey from chaos to security, we should seek refuge in
Him—dwelling in the shelter of His mercy and allowing  Him to provide peace
for our souls.   Giving thanks to The Father for life, health, strength, keeping our
loved ones safe, receiving His blessings daily and for just allowing our next
breath is the foundation of true security.

As Whispered to...
                                                                                                         A. M. DeCarl
You jump at the piercing sound of the radio DJ’s loud voice suddenly informing
you that traffic is now flowing smoothly on the interstate.  You reach over, hitting
in the direction of the voice to shut it up, and roll back over all in one motion.
Your eyes finally open to the big blue (or red) numbers flashing “5:30 a.m.”...
You go through the same motions - take a shower… do your hair… get
partially dressed… wake the kids to help those who need help get ready for
school or prepare some sort of breakfast for those who can’t fend for
themselves… scoff down a piece of toast and coffee or juice… finish getting
dressed for work…get the kids and you out of the house onto your respective
routes…fight traffic…pull up at the office…get to your desk...work until 6:00 p.
m…leave work...fight traffic heading home…go in, take off your suit jacket
only,
wash your hands, put dinner on, then finish undressing...eat dinner with your
family, help the kids with homework…engage in a conversation with your
significant other…go to bed (the clock says 11:00 p.m.)…and, if all goes well
during the night and you are not awakened by one of the kids who need you,
start the same routine over the next morning.
