When

When life gets hard,
When your storms don’t pass,
When you feel alone,
When your fears are hard to mask.

When your faith is challenged,
When your mind is confused,
When your spirit is frustrated,
When your heart is abused.

When you wander out of My presence,
When you’re in need of care,
When your heart starts to stray,
When you feel like no one is there.

When spiritual sight is unfocused,
When life takes a downward spin,
When the state of midnight is unending,
When there’s no one to step in.

When hanging on by a thread,
When the next harsh word or deed is the scissors,
When living becomes something you dread
When love cannot be found in life’s mirror.

When the seam is stretched between you and sanity
When you need lifting out of the reach of humanity.
When to “our place” you go, so
When I speak to your spirit you’ll always know
When you breathe your next breath, there you’ll find Me
When I unravel life’s puzzle, then you will see.

When I’m right in front to lead your way,
When I’m behind to cover your back,
When I’m next to you to be your prop,
When you stumble over life’s stacks.

When the path shaped for you gets winding and long
When you reach out to Me, I’m waiting with open arms. ©
